Purpose of the role
The Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing merchant relationships with international key customers. The Account Manager will be evaluated on the retention/ up selling to their existing portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Develop long term and trusted relationship as business partner to our customers
Maximize customer satisfaction and grow existing accounts. Identify up-sell opportunities and pro-actively sell new services and products to existing customers. This includes coordination of all aspects of the accounts where as sales support, project management, sales bids and contracts.
Developing and executing strategic implementation- and account plans for each account identifying the core customer requirements. Mapping the benefits of our customer’s solution to the business requirements of the account.
Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made
Establish and maintain current client relationships. Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up. Identify and resolve client concerns.
Ensure that all necessary advance due diligence is completed in a timely and comprehensive manner using a structured due diligence process covering pre-tender requirements
Collect, capture, analyze, use and report data (market challenges, industry opportunities, competitor activity etc) in an accurate and effective manner – using it to identify customer needs, develop sales opportunities and add to business growth
Provide status reports: activity, closings, follow-up and adherence to goals as required by management
Work closely with the Partnership department to gain specific support required for identified opportunities
Organize and lead monthly and quarterly account reviews to review active products, volumes and service levels.
Maintain sales materials and product knowledge. Report any new trends in the market. Remain up to date with evolving product functionalities and process technology – both internally and within competitive offering.

Positive, pro-active and a hands-on mentality
Strong administrative, organizational and time management skills
Required Experience
Minimum Bachelor degree
Minimum 5 years successful Sales and relationship management experience (preferably E-Commerce) in a professional environment with interface at senior management level contacts
Proven track record in consultative large Euro revenue accounts
Experience in operating effectively within a wider Sales Team; using all available resources in an effective and timely manner.
Experience of achieving success against challenging targets with complex sales cycle and product requirements
Required knowledge/ technical skills
• Fluency and excellent writing skills in Dutch and English and a 3rd language
• Advanced computer literacy (PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
